Information Regarding the "Show Me Your Creativity" Class in Atlanta!

Show Me Your Creativity Class Description - Valerie Trescot, Facilitator
Your owe it to yourself to participate in this bonus session! Each class attendee will be given a box full of products. You'll bring your container, newsprint, shred, ribbon, enhancements and cellophane for a fan if you want one. In addition, you'll bring the tools you're accustomed to working with. You'll have one hour to create a show stopping design. You must use all the product provided! This is an incredible experience for you, as there will be no two designs that even look remotely alike. This is a chance to show your creativity, and witness the creativity of others in the class. Further, it is proof that the same inventory can create lots of different looking designs, based on containers, enhancement and ribbon! Don't miss this great opportunity! We cannot say enough about this exciting class and the experience of participating in it! Have we piqued your interest? Here are the guidelines for the class and the materials you will need to bring:

You will not be judged on the size of your container, but based on product that is donated, you will need a container that is approximately 14 inches wide by 12 inches front to back. We're telling you the measurements so that you don't have a container that is too large or too small for this design project, as you will be required to use all the products provided.

You may choose any theme! Fall, Holiday, All Occasion or whatever your creative spirit envisions! The product colors are pretty generic. We try to keep them neutral, so that you can do virtually any type of design or color scheme.

You'll need to bring the following:

8. Depending on how you design, you will need to bring the following tools: Wire, Scissors, Pliers, Cutting Utensil, Skewers, packing tape or other anchoring methods, such as glue dots or tape.

The design may not be shrinkwrapped or cellophaned. You will need to use a skewer, floral card holder, tape or some anchoring method to attach your fan/bow so that the design looks like it is a finished product.

1. Design should make a creative statement, leaving the viewer with a dramatic first impression.

Be prepared to work quietly, on your own, without assistance from anyone. No questions will be answered. No talking is allowed during class because it takes away from each participant's time. You will have one hour to put your design together. At the end of class, you will take your design to the competition room where it will be judged.

We are not going to limit you with regard to cost. The sky's the limit. Show us how creative you can be and have fun with it!

Note: You may either bring your design on the airplane as an extra piece of luggage, or ship it to the Atlanta Hilton. There will be receiving cost by the hotel based on weight.
